Job summary

HII Mission Technologies Division’s Propulsion Systems Team has a pending opening for a mid to senior-level systems engineer, with experience in aircraft propulsion system design.

In this role, the candidate will directly support the Propulsion Acquisition Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and provide system design, development, integration, test products, and subject matter expertise of a wide variety of aircraft engines for the US Air Force.

Qualifications

• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years with Masters.
• Experience in aerospace design development processes including design, analysis, testing, and integration.
• Must have an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost, risk, and supportability analyses for total systems.
• Perform system analysis across concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications and MBSE models.
• Apply MBSE to speed innovation and assist in development, integration, and certification of complex systems.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for propulsion system development.
• Contribute to long-term propulsion technology roadmaps and evaluate emerging technologies.
