Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to perform advanced inspections across propulsion and thruster components, ensuring conformance to engineering drawings, AS9100, ISO, and customer requirements. You will use precision tools, document results, and support continuous improvement on the production line.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in aerospace or space hardware quality inspection, with at least 3 years in propulsion or thruster systems.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, ECSS, NASA, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Inspect propulsion system components, thrusters, subassemblies, and final assemblies using precision tools.
• Verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Review inspection documentation, test data, and quality records for accuracy.
• Identify nonconformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Train and mentor junior inspectors and technicians on quality standards.
