Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Core Quality Engineer for Propulsion Engines Quality in Auburn Hills to guarantee the deployment of quality policies and the achievement of product quality targets for engines under development or in mass production.

You will lead design assessments, monitor KPIs, drive deep dive analyses, manage engine issues to closure, and collaborate with global teams to improve propulsion systems processes across programs and regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, mechatronics, or control systems engineering.
• 8+ years of automotive experience with propulsion systems knowledge in development, manufacturing, or quality.
• Knowledge of quality tools, methods, processes to drive continuous product improvements in automotive.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Shainin Red X, Lean, DFSS).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to lead and present to global executives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own design quality for development and production of engines from program approval to end of production.
• Lead global efforts for defining and improving propulsion system processes related to engines.
• Lead design assessments and follow quality KPIs for the engines perimeter across new programs and regions.
• Manage a systemic approach for quality improvements analyzing propulsion systems interactions.
• Drive deep dive engineering analysis to address field concerns.
• Manage engine assigned issues and direct them to closure.
• Interface with Quality, supporting warranty items and emerging issues.
• Review and approve engineering related repair & service procedures.
• Organize and lead internal and external project team meetings.
• Regular reporting to propulsion systems and quality management.
