Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn, AL is seeking a Supplier Quality Development Engineer for Propulsion Systems. You will lead supplier recovery, drive root cause analysis, and implement preventive maintenance to ensure high quality and uptime across propulsion components.

Role requires collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing, frequent onsite supplier visits, and deployment of best practices and lessons learned across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Minimum 2 years' work experience in a manufacturing setting with 5 years total experience.
• Reactive Green Belt Certification.
• Willing to travel within the North America Region and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive resolution of supplier‑related quality and supply issues.
• Support crisis management with local onsite assistance.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with supplier, purchasing, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams.
• Identify equipment‑related issues quickly, frame problems, and implement resolutions.
• Apply maintenance and problem‑solving tools to reduce downtime.
• Lead preventive maintenance strategies to extend equipment life.
• Implement 5S and visual management to improve efficiency and safety.
• Plan and manage multiple autonomous and preventive maintenance projects.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to integrate maintenance into quality and reliability plans.
