Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in Palo Alto, CA is hiring a Staff Propulsion Production Engineer to support assembly, testing, and fueling of propulsion systems across satellite programs. You will translate concepts into hardware, develop procedures, and lead test activities with manufacturing teams in a hands-on lab/shop environment.

The role requires a strong background in propulsion hardware, 5+ years of experience, and willingness to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.
• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace or related engineering field.
• 5+ years in aerospace, propulsion, pressure systems, or test hardware.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Hands-on lab/shop work in hardware fabrication, assembly, testing.
• Willing to travel up to 20% for propellant loading and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily engineering support during propulsion hardware assembly, integration, and testing.
• Translate drawings and configurations into functional hardware.
• Develop and execute manufacturing and test procedures for propulsion hardware.
• Coordinate test configurations, equipment, and data acquisition.
• Lead test setup, execution, and teardown with technicians and engineers.
• Capture, interpret, and report test data for buyoff.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate non-conformance resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to meet milestones.
• Share knowledge and train team members to achieve goals.
• Stay current with specs, engineering tech, and production processes.
