Job summary

Aero is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer located in El Segundo, CA, to deliver timely technical assessments of propulsion systems for high-priority space missions. You will be part of a team that develops innovative solutions across various propulsion technologies.

The successful candidate will hold a Master's degree in a relevant engineering field, have substantial experience with propulsion systems, and be skilled in data analysis tools such as Python and MATLAB. This role requires at least 4 days onsite each week.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college/university program.
• Four years of applicable professional or academic experience.
• Knowledge of advanced engineering principles.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough independent analyses.
• Experience with solid rocket motors or hypersonic systems.

Responsibilities

• Developing tools to assess propulsion systems performance.
• Identifying risks with components and systems.
• Providing support for customer tests and flights.
• Preparing reports to communicate results.
