Job summary

Northrop Grumman is looking for a Staff Propulsion Engineer at its Elkton, Maryland facility. The selected candidate will lead solid rocket motors (SRM) engineering design and mentor junior engineers. An ideal candidate should possess a relevant STEM degree and significant industry experience.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience or 10 years with a Master's or 8 years with a PhD.
• Experience in design and development of new aerospace products.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct architecture-level trade studies and lead technical analyses.
• Design SRM materials and propulsion hardware.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee testing activities.

Skills

Experience working with cross-functional teams

Proficiency in Siemens NX

Knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5-2009, DFA/DFM
