Job summary

True Anomaly, Inc. seeks a Senior Combustion Devices Design Engineer to own the full lifecycle of propulsion hardware for space systems. You will lead injector and chamber design, regenerative cooling, and acoustic stability, using modern manufacturing methods including additive manufacturing.

You will mentor engineers, drive robust design reviews, and collaborate with suppliers to translate test data into improved propulsion concepts for on‑orbit capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of professional experience in liquid rocket engine or thruster development.
• Strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with regenerative cooling and high‑temperature materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, and optimization of combustion devices for satellites and space vehicles.
• Develop and validate regenerative cooling circuits and verify margins.
• Use CEA and other tools to predict performance and guide design decisions.
• Apply additive manufacturing to accelerate development and enable complex geometries.
• Mentor junior engineers and help scale design processes.
