My firm is currently working on a Proposal Writing/Business Development role working with Government and Federal Contracts based in MA or DC.

The company is a growing/stable tech firm that provides advanced business consulting services. They are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager, Government Contracts, with success in developing and implementing capture plans for Federal/Government contracts.

You must have business development experience for a small business that works with the federal government, including a proven record of identifying and winning federal contracts and managing proposal submissions. The role involves identifying and researching opportunities, developing RFIs and RFPs for submission, and targeting federal and government markets to develop, qualify, and capture new business opportunities.

The responsibilities include:

1. Leading business development and client management efforts.
2. Analyzing the government marketplace to identify opportunities.
3. Establishing relationships with key government agencies and decision-makers.

Requirements:

1. Five years of experience in developing and implementing federal government contracts, including strategic planning and proposal writing in response to RFPs/RFQs/RFIs.
2. Knowledge of Federal & Defense Industry Contracting and understanding of FAR/DFAR regulations.
3. A proven track record of penetrating and closing contracts with federal agencies.
4. Proficiency in Bid and Proposal processes, including technical writing, pricing, and staffing.
5. Ability to pass a Federal background check.
6. Experience with GovWin, FedBizOps, FedConnect, or similar systems.
