Job summary

SEL is seeking a Project Engineer - Proposals to guide the technical evaluation and development of customer proposals for complex power system and automation projects. You will review RFQs, develop statements of work, preliminary designs, risk assessments, and schedules, coordinating with Contracts for commercial terms.

A strong, collaborative leader with expertise in power systems is required. You will lead multi-project efforts, mentor staff, and apply SEL's core values to deliver technically

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
8+ years of experience in electric power systems or industrial automation.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to lead and supervise project teams.

Responsibilities

Lead proposal development for complex power and automation projects.
Review RFQs and develop technical solutions and statements of work.
Prepare risk assessments, cash flow forecasts, and schedules.
Collaborate with Contracts to finalize terms and conditions.
Mentor staff and uphold SEL values and operating principles.
