Job summary

SEL Engineering Services seeks a Project Engineer - Proposals to lead technical evaluation and development of customer proposals for complex power system and automation projects.

You will review RFQ documents, evaluate bid opportunities, develop work statements, preliminary designs, risk assessments, cash flow projections, and schedules, while collaborating with Contracts to finalize terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience with electric power systems or industrial automation.
• Knowledge of electric power system protection, control, integration, automation, and communications.
• Ability to lead and supervise project teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Satisfactory background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead across multiple projects and focus areas.
• Identify, prepare, and present proposals for SEL equipment, services, and systems.
• Review RFQs and technical specs to develop innovative solutions.
• Lead project teams to resolve customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Develop project statements, designs, risk assessments, cash flow forecasts, and schedules.
• Collaborate with Contracts to finalize terms and conditions.
