Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Sr. Technical Editor to support proposal development by reviewing and refining content for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with solicitation requirements.

The role includes hands-on editing and mentoring a team of Technical Editors to ensure high-quality, customer-focused materials. You will collaborate with proposal managers, writers, and subject matter experts to improve structure, flow, and formatting, manage version control, and support color-team reviews, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, or related field.
• 12+ years of editing experience preferably in DoD proposal or technical environments.
• Experience editing government or corporate proposals (RFP/RFQ responses).

Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide a team of Technical Editors ensuring quality and adherence to editing standards.
• Edit and proofread proposal content for grammar, clarity, consistency.
• Ensure all materials adhere to solicitation instructions, evaluation criteria, and company style guides.
• Collaborate with proposal teams to improve structure, flow, and readability.
• Verify data accuracy, terminology consistency, and proper document formatting.
• Support color team reviews and integrate feedback into final versions.
• Maintain version control and ensure consistency across volumes.
