Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Senior Underwriting Manager to oversee the Major Accounts Property portfolio in the Central Region. You will manage a team of underwriters handling complex monoline property accounts with substantial Total Insured Value, guiding decisions and ensuring profitable growth.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with Risk Engineering, and maintain strong relationships with producers and customers to drive retention and expansion while aligning underwriting

Qualifications

• At least 10 years progressive underwriting experience, including 2+ years in management.
• CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred.
• Proven analytical ability to evaluate high impact underwriting risks.

Responsibilities

• Drives a culture of underwriting excellence across the portfolio.
• Maintains relationships with external brokers/agents, partners and stakeholders.
• Acts as a point of escalation for complex underwriting decisions.
• May cover for manager when required and account for portfolio performance.
• Develops and executes underwriting strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Mentors and develops team members to sustain performance.
