Job summary

Chubb External is seeking a Senior Property Underwriter to manage a renewal book while underwriting mono-line property opportunities and cross-selling other lines of business within Commercial Insurance.

You will develop the property book through prospecting, pipeline development, and strategic account management, ensuring profitable pricing and strong client relations. Collaboration with underwriters and brokers will be crucial to meet growth and financial targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of commercial property underwriting experience.
• Strong sales and marketing skills are critical.
• Must be able to negotiate with internal and external partners and nurture key producer relations.
• Proficiency with underwriting process and risk analysis; collaboration with Underwriting Associate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.

Responsibilities

• Develop book growth, maintain superior relationships, and implement effective and profitable pricing rate strategies. Underwriting will include marketing and servicing accounts based on Chubb guidelines.
• Be responsible for developing and implementing a business plan to grow the property book through prospect identification and pipeline development, new business production and account management.
• Have accountability for the financial performance of the property book of business, achieving growth for the assigned branch, region, and territory; identify cross-sell opportunities and conduct broker/insured visits.
