Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a Senior Property Risk Engineer to provide field risk engineering for underwriting and clients in the North East/Mid Atlantic region. This remote role requires 25-35% travel and involves developing service strategies and supporting underwriting meetings.

The candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of risk engineering experience (or 8+ with high school) and strong MS Office and team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Fire Science, or related field is preferred.
• Experience in risk engineering and loss control is desired.
• Strong communication and consultative skills are essential.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Proficiency with PC/software and systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide field risk engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
• Develop and implement customer service strategies to reduce loss and improve operations.
• Provide engineering support to underwriting by attending client broker meetings.
• Perform field engineering services for larger locations within the region.
• Deliver advanced property consultative services, identifying exposures and loss potential.
• Assist in marketing Zurich risk transfer products with underwriting professionals and agents.
