Senior Property Management Staff Accountant

About the Company

Partner of FAST and TASC (outsourced and strategic accounting / consulting). This role is hybrid, part-time in-office and part-time remote, with an exceptional CPA firm recognized as one of Houston's best 100 companies to work for.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable function, coordinated with India team weekly; process check runs through Avid Xchange.
• Serve as daily staff accounting contact for clients, monitor emails, perform property management entries in Yardi, and collaborate with onsite staff for construction draws and lease updates.
• Review P&L statements for trends, research reclassification items, and make journal entries as needed.
• Review bank and credit card reconciliations completed by India team weekly.
• Provide accounting support for investor relations, month-end close, payroll posting, investor distributions, and lender compliance.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews as part of the closing process.
• Attend weekly meetings with the property management company.

Qualifications & Experience

• Yardi experience is a must.
• Team player, dedicated, hardworking, with a good personality and able to work directly with clients in a customer service style.
• Ability to meet deadlines and complete month-end processes timely for multiple entities.
• Tech-savvy skills are a major plus (e.g., uploads).
