Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead and develop a maintenance team across its communities. You will manage coatings, electrical, plumbing, and trades while ensuring resident satisfaction and safety compliance.

The role requires supervision experience, a valid driver’s license, and HVAC/certifications. Expect on-site work with opportunities for career growth and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA HVAC I & II, CPO and local certifications required.
• Minimum 2–4 years in apartment maintenance or related trades.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools required.
• Able to read service requests and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team members.
• Embrace, engage, motivate and train team members.
• Prepare make-ready apartments.
• Complete service requests.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Perform common area maintenance.
• Lead preventative maintenance program.
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs.
• Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members.
• Lead and participate in the CWS Risk Management and Safety Programs.
