Job summary

Selective Insurance seeks an Insurance Product Specialist to support currency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of insurance products for the assigned line of business. You will work with Product leadership on bureau circulars, rate integration, and form changes across markets.

You will collaborate with Product Development Specialists on filing activities, maintain rate inventories, and ensure alignment with ISO/AAIS circulars and state requirements.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• 5+ years Commercial Underwriting experience.
• Familiarity with insurance research platforms and filing databases.
• 2+ years of experience with state regulatory filings.
• 3+ years specific line of business experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Product Development Specialists to manage ISO, AAIS, and rate forms currency and compliance.
• Ensures consistent processes for handling ISO/AAIS circulars, updates, and filing materials.
• Recommends actions on circulars and reviews system impacts.
• Determines requirements to adopt circulars and reviews ramifications.
• Supports forms and rate-related decisions and regulatory filings.
• Executes filing support activities including delay filings and state filing documentation.
• Maintains inventory and accountability for existing rates, rules, and forms.
• Oversees delay/non-adopt ISO and AAIS circulars.
• Manages regulatory filing matters for the assigned line of business.
• Serves as rate acumen SME within the Insurance Product team.
• Provides research and resolution on rate/form deployment issues.
• Coordinates multi-state programs and major product initiatives.
• Performs market research for product development including competitive form analysis.
