Job summary

Software Placement Group in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Property Financial Analyst to oversee property-level and corporate accounting, coordinating with outside fund administrators and delivering accurate reporting for a multifamily and commercial portfolio.

You will handle full-cycle accounting for six multifamily properties and two commercial assets, prepare CAM reconciliations and rent-related entries, and support lender reporting and investor statements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with a focus on property or real estate accounting.
• 4+ years of property/real estate or public accounting experience.
• BS or BA in Accounting or Finance required (Bachelor's degree in a related field also acceptable)
• CAM reconciliation experience required
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling) required
• Hands-on experience with a large real estate ERP system, custom report building, and IM portal
• Experience with Yardi Voyager reporting
• Must be local and able to work on-site 5 days per week

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting for 6 multifamily properties and 2 commercial assets, including monthly close, financial packages, and variance analysis
• Prepare and review CAM reconciliations, straight-line rent, and security deposit accounting
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash management, accounts payable, tenant billing, and lease administration
• Support corporate-level general ledger accounting, including intercompany transactions and consolidations
• Assist with corporate financial statements and management reporting
• Support entity-level budgeting and forecasting
• Serve as a key point of contact with outside fund administrators for data exchange, reconciliations, and reporting
• Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers for fund-level financial statements, investor reporting, and audits
• Assist with lender reporting packages and covenant compliance documentation
• Maintain investor/portfolio data in the large real estate ERP system (IM) portal
• Build and maintain custom reports in Yardi Voyager for management, investor, and lender reporting
• Manage vendor compliance workflows in the large real estate ERP system, including exceptions and documentation standards
• Identify opportunities to streamline close and reporting workflows across the portfolio

Overview

A real estate investment firm managing a multifamily and commercial property portfolio is seeking a Senior Property Financial Analyst to oversee property-level and corporate accounting while coordinating with outside fund administrators. This role is central to accurate financial reporting across the firm's assets and supports both property operations and investor-facing reporting.

Preferred qualifications

• Candidates coming straight out of a Big 4 firm highly considered
• CPA or public accounting background a big plus
• Corporate/entity-level exposure a plus
• Experience working with outside fund administrators strongly preferred
• Real estate investment and fund administrator coordination preferred

Compensation and benefits

• Salary range of $110k–$125k
