Tokio Marine Group of Companies in the United States seeks an accomplished property/casualty underwriter to manage large accounts and complex programs. You will assess risks, price coverage, and coordinate reinsurance with our regional and corporate teams.

The ideal candidate has at least ten years in P&C underwriting, five in large accounts, and a CPCU or related designation. We offer a generous benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base pay.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred or equivalent.
• At least ten years of underwriting experience in property/casualty insurance underwriting with five or more years in large casualty accounts.
• CPCU or related designation preferred.

Responsabilités

• Underwrites and prices large risks, consolidated programs, mergers and acquisitions, large deductible, self insured retention programs and other alternative risk mechanisms.
• Binds various coverages subject to authority level and prepares quotations and proposals on new and renewal business.
• Places and binds reinsurance as needed.
• Reviews and approves property casualty profiles and referrals; ensures timely and accurate documentation; provides guidance to underwriting staff.
• Assist Managers in addressing and resolving overdues and workflow issues.
• Communicates with management and coordinates activities with Claims, Loss Control, Client Solutions, and Accounting.
• Interacts with Corporate and other underwriting departments; suggests new procedures and programs.
• Furnishes intelligence on large account market and competitor strengths.
• Ensures compliance with internal controls in job functions and administrative activities.
