• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or equivalent experience.
• MAAO certification or applicable Michigan assessment certification.
• Minimum of five years of progressive property assessment experience.
• Knowledge of Michigan property tax laws, valuation methods, and assessment principles.
• Proficiency with BS&A Assessing.net and related software.

Responsibilities

• Administer the City's assessment program for real and personal property.
• Oversee property appraisals, inspections, and periodic reappraisals.
• Review property records, construction plans, and market data for accurate valuations.
• Prepare, maintain, and certify assessment and tax rolls per laws and regs.
• Administer special assessments and abatements.
