Job summary

Schnitzer Properties invites applications for a Senior Property Accountant in Portland, OR. The role will prepare and review the general ledger, rent roll, budgets, forecasts, and month-end close for multiple properties, ensuring accuracy of financial statements and reports.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel and MS Office skills, and real estate or property management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance preferred.
• 5–7 years of accounting/financial reporting experience.
• Real estate or property management experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills required.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review general ledger, rent roll, bank accounts, forecasts, and budgets.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare property and operating unit work papers and reports.
• Coordinate CAM estimates and reconciliations; handle journal entries.
• Support in preparing property forecasts and monthly/quarterly reports.
