A growing property management firm in Great Neck is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while optimizing accounting operations. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing the monthly close process, conducting cash flow analysis, managing investor and lender reporting, and addressing accounting issues.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Assist in budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Maintain the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end closes.
  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, tenant billing, and vendor payments.
  • Support internal controls and audits.
  • Assist with payroll processing and compliance.
  • Ensure tax compliance and assist with property tax returns.
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare management reports.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and prepare audit documentation.
  • Use accounting software for transactions and process improvements.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts.
  • Contribute to property acquisition and corporate projects.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years in real estate finance roles.
  • Proficiency in MRI, Yardi, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance, taxes, and compliance.

Compensation: $90k-$110k plus benefits, 401k, and perks.

The salary range is an estimate and may include additional benefits, equity, or incentives.
