Genuine Search Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for a leading real estate owner/developer in New York. You will manage financial reporting for a large portfolio of residential and mixed-use properties, ensuring GAAP compliance and audit readiness.

This stable company offers a collaborative management team and a 9-5 schedule. Responsibilities include journal entries, workpapers, variance analysis, and liaison with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3-5+ years of real estate audit and/or accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience using Yardi or similar property management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP for multiple properties
• Prepare complete set of workpaper schedules in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare internal and audit-ready financial statements
• Analyze and explain operating variances from budget
• Work directly with outside auditors
