Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Our client is a reputable real estate investment and development firm with over 30 years of industry success, is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their growing team. This company has experienced rapid expansion in recent years and offers a fantastic long-term opportunity with significant career advancement potential.

In this role, you will take ownership of the financial reporting and accounting processes for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties, working closely with a collaborative team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and analyze general ledgers for a portfolio of commercial properties.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance reports.
• Develop and update budgets and forecasts in collaboration with executives and property managers.
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial packages to internal stakeholders, lenders, and regulatory agencies.
• Perform CAM and real estate tax reconciliations.
• Review lease agreements to ensure accurate tenant billing.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.
• Build and maintain strong tenant and team relationships.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate property accounting.
• Strong knowledge of lease provisions; ability to interpret legal lease documents.
• Proficiency in CAM reconciliations.
• Experience with property accounting systems such as Yardi, MRI, or Sage (preferred).
• Familiarity with construction accounting and AIA billing is a plus.
• Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Salary Range: $100,000-110,000
