Job summary

2B Living in San Carlos is looking for a Senior Property Accountant, both on-site and remote, to tackle complex financial challenges and enhance financial reporting. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, has at least three years of relevant experience, and possesses strong knowledge of GAAP.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $105K to $135K annually, along with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and participation in a 401K plan.

Senior Property Accountant (on-site/remote)

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• AppFolio experience preferred
• Accrual-based institutional financial reporting experience preferred
• MBA, Master’s in Accounting/Finance, and/or CPA preferred

Responsibilities

• Review financial statements, reports, and other documents, including balance sheets, ledgers, and income statements, in accordance with GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
• Analyze financial statements, identify discrepancies, and investigate any irregularities.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
• Troubleshoot and finalize monthly bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for accurate cash management, including approving A/P and requesting contributions when necessary.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets.
• Review the General Ledger to ensure proper coding of all transactions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with other departments.
• Provide support to internal and external auditors.

Compensation & Benefits
