LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Commercial Real Estate firm here in Houston seeking a Senior Property Management Accountant. The Property Accountant will be responsible for preparing property reconciliations, budgets and financial reports for commercial properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in property management accounting.
• Yardi, MRI or other related ERP systems experience.
• Sound understanding of GAAP and use of MS Excel.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries to general ledger accountants.
• Complete corresponding account reconciliations.
• Ensuring accounting books for properties are accurate.
• Enter reclasses and accruals.
• Request disbursements and assign account numbers.
• Provide preliminary reports for review to properties.
• Coordinate closely with accounts payable team.
• Manage close calendar for assigned properties.
• Perform CAM calculations and reconciliations.
