Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Traffic Engineer / Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Milwaukee, WI or Indianapolis, IN. You will manage traffic studies, transportation planning, and traffic signal/roadway design projects while coordinating with clients and staff.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree and PE licensure, with 6+ years in road and traffic design, and proficiency in HCS, SYNCHRO, MUTCD; AutoCAD and MicroStation are a plus. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer licensure is required or able to obtain.
• 6+ years of experience in road, intersection, and traffic signal design.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects and budgets.
• Experience with HCS, SYNCHRO, MUTCD; AutoCAD and MicroStation a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and permitting of traffic/transportation projects.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
• Prepare progress reports, invoices, and change orders.
• Develop reports, plans, and design documents for projects.
• Generate proposals and contribute to business development.
