Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Traffic Engineer / Project Manager in Columbus, OH to lead traffic/parking studies, transportation planning, and roadway design efforts. The role combines technical execution with client liaison and project leadership within a collaborative office environment.

The successful candidate will manage multiple projects, coordinate with staff, and contribute to business development while delivering high-quality transportation solutions for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Valid Professional Engineer licensure.
• 6+ years in road, intersection, and traffic signal design.
• Experience with HCS, SYNCHRO, and MUTCD; AutoCAD and MicroStation are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform planning and permitting of traffic/transportation projects.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets, schedules, and deadlines; draft invoices and change orders.
• Coordinate feasibility analyses and develop plans/reports for projects.
• Write and edit proposals, reports, and design documents.
• Support business development and client meetings to pursue new work.
• Provide mentorship and oversight to junior staff on Traffic/Transportation projects.
