Job Title: Senior Technical Manager (Power Generation)
GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Manager (Power Generation) based in Virginia within our Power Business Unit's Power Generation Sector. GAI is a growing multi-disciplinary engineering firm with a significant presence in the Mid-Atlantic, focusing on Energy, Institutional, Industrial, and Manufacturing clients. The role offers opportunities in client development, business relationships, staff management, and civil engineering expertise across diverse projects. Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with clients in Energy, Institutional, Industrial, and Manufacturing sectors and internal teams.
- Lead business development efforts, including preparing statements of qualifications, project scopes, schedules, budgets, and fees.
- Understand and market GAI’s services effectively.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans.
- Serve as a primary seller and technical leader in the Power Generation Sector across the Mid-Atlantic.
- Provide design, management, and technical oversight for civil components on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Lead project teams to successful execution.
- Coordinate with accounting to monitor project costs and profitability.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Develop standards and guidelines.
- Lead specialized programs within the organization.
- Create design alternatives for complex projects, considering requirements, constraints, community input, and regulatory issues.
- Incorporate advanced concepts, including sustainability, into problem-solving.
Project and Task Management:
- Oversee technical, legal, and financial aspects of programs.
- Recommend resources needed for programs.
- Develop comprehensive project management plans for complex projects.
- Apply principles of teamwork, leadership, and justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Define program objectives and develop organizational policies.

Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 16+ years of experience.
- Driver's License required.
