Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Project Superintendent with a water/wastewater background for the Fort Myers area. This role directs daily on-site supervision of all field personnel and ensures safety, owner satisfaction, cost control, scheduling, and quality.

Preferred candidates have 15–20 years of total construction experience, with 10+ years in a superintendent role, and current work in water/wastewater. A valid driver license and PMIS/MS Office proficiency are required.

Superintendent Level

Wharton-Smith, Inc is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Superintendent with Water/Wastewater background for the Fort Myers area. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the direction and daily supervision of all job site field personnel on assigned projects. Responsibilities also include maintaining safety, owner satisfaction, cost, schedule, and quality control.

Compensation

$135,200+ annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

This position is also eligible for performance-based bonuses twice a year and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and company vehicle.

Required Qualifications

Superintendent Level

10-15 years of total construction experience.

Minimum of the most recent 5+ years as a Superintendent (required).

Senior Superintendent Level

15–20 years of total construction experience (20+ preferred).

Minimum of the most recent 10+ years as a Superintendent (required).

Candidates must currently be working in water/wastewater.

Additional Qualifications

• Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Knowledge of Project Management Software (PMIS).
• Valid Driver License and ability to commute to job sites.
