Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a Project Scheduler Prin(Grade 8) to coordinate team activities and support field verification across FAC-008 and Configuration Management. The role involves scheduling, data collection, and reporting to senior management with interface to site teams and contractors.

• Experience in scheduling and project planning within utilities or similar sectors.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time, organize, and pay attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Define activities, durations, work sequences, and relationships to develop the scope of work plan and milestones.
• Ensure logic supports customer detail level and internal standards.
• Develop integrated system schedules with resource loading and leveling using critical path method.
• Prepare clear minutes and action items; update schedule risks and issues for the team.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with scope of work schedules.
• Mentor junior schedulers in metric reports, schedule risk, and what-if analyses.
• Coordinate schedule and cost integration for scope of work.
• Provide risk assessments and mitigation actions with supported teams.
