Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. in Las Vegas seeks an experienced Project Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across the Southern Pacific Region, including Los Angeles, Newport Beach, San Diego, and Las Vegas. You will monitor safety programs, conduct inspections, coordinate with project supervision, and ensure compliance with OSHA while fostering a culture of safety.

Travel to locations required. Bachelor's degree, OSHA 500 certification, 5+ years' experience in large construction;

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience managing safety on large healthcare, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• OSHA 500 certification is required.
• Spanish language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety programs and discuss with on-site subcontractors and McCarthy employees.
• Conduct documented safety inspections at least twice per month.
• Coordinate with Project Supervision for protective equipment and posted safety documents.
• Investigate injuries and log OSHA incidents with corrective actions.
• Enforce safety policies and conduct weekly Toolbox meetings.
• Record safety meetings and communications for regional tracking.
