Job summary

COMPA Industries seeks a Senior Project Risk Manager to join the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory program in Berkeley, CA, supporting the ALS-U upgrade. You will lead the integrated risk-management program, coordinating with Project leadership, controls, and external reviewers to ensure proactive risk treatment and decision-ready insights.

You will develop cost and schedule risk analyses, manage risk workshops, and mentor staff, with on-site work and limited authorized remote analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline and at least eight years in project risk management.
• Experience leading risk management for large, technically complex capital projects or comparable programs.
• Experience with quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, schedule uncertainty, and contingency assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and administer the project risk-management program and governance.
• Maintain the project risk register and documentation of risk ownership, triggers, and mitigation actions.
• Facilitate risk workshops, deep dives, and executive-level risk reviews.
