Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a Project Engineer (ME-III) to lead engineering and design activities, ensure technical adequacy, and support manufacturing, integration, and test efforts.

The role requires 5–10 years of engineering experience, management of multidisciplinary teams, and collaboration with electrical, software, and systems engineers across projects, including shipboard operations.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Ocean Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5-10 years of practical technical experience in the engineering process (concept development, analysis, design, drawing, integration and testing).
• 2+ years of management experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Ability to obtain a United States Government DoD security clearance (active preferred).
• Experience in maritime and/or subsea engineering is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply advanced engineering methods and theories to complex projects.
• Coordinate and supervise an interdisciplinary design team of engineers, drafters, and technicians.
• Review progress and evaluate results of work.
• Technically manage projects of moderate scope.
• Estimate resource requirements to meet objectives.
• Review and approve completion and implementation of technical products.
• Demonstrate excellent technical judgment and independent evaluation.
• Write test procedures, conduct tests, and compile data.
• Interact with customer representatives to define and manage expectations.
• Participate in Technical Working Groups to improve processes and capabilities.
• Assist in bid and proposal efforts with cost estimations and schedules.
• Domestic and international travel, including shipboard operations.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
