Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a Project Engineer (ME-III) in Chesapeake, VA to lead and technically manage mechanical/ocean deployed systems through design, analysis, and testing under a PM. You will coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, review progress, and ensure solutions meet customer requirements.

Requires a B.S. in Mechanical or Ocean Engineering, 5–10 years engineering experience, 2+ years of leadership, proficiency in SolidWorks and Matlab, and the ability to obtain the DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Hold a B.S. in Mechanical or Ocean Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5–10 years of practical engineering experience across concept development, analysis, design, integration and testing.
• 2+ years of management experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Proficient with SolidWorks, Matlab and MS Office.
• Ability to work with electrical, software and systems engineers to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced engineering methods and supervise an interdisciplinary design team.
• Review progress and evaluate results for self and team.
• Technically manage projects of moderate scope and estimate resources.
