Responsibilities

Plan, design, and administer construction of water and wastewater infrastructure.

Job description

Plan, design, and administer construction of water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems
Serve as a primary client contact and manage relationships with private, state, and local government clients
Lead business development efforts, including responding to RFPs and developing proposals and presentations
Shape project approaches, scopes, and fees, including risk identification and management
Oversee the entire project lifecycle while adhering to budgets, schedules, and regulatory requirements
Provide technical leadership and conduct quality control reviews
Mentor project managers and junior staff
Identify and pursue new project opportunities with new and existing clients
Engage in industry organizations through committee leadership, conference presentations, publications, and professional involvement

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
Substantial experience in consulting engineering within the water and wastewater industry, with increasing responsibility
Licensure as a Professional Engineer
Proven experience in successful project management, including leading teams, managing budgets and schedules, and coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Leadership ability with a passion for team building, mentoring, and developing staff
Self‑motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving
Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
Additional experience in business development, proposal writing, and strategic planning preferred
Familiarity with New England and New York water and wastewater regulations, permitting processes, and funding opportunities preferred
Understanding of Revit use on multidisciplinary water and wastewater infrastructure projects preferred
Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods, including design‑build, progressive design‑build, and construction manager at risk, preferred
Additional licensure in multiple states preferred
