Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, seeks a Customer Service Champion to manage multiple projects across Treatment Plant markets. You will interact with customers, grow as-bid margins, ensure timely delivery of materials, and coordinate across internal teams for best value.

This role emphasizes reliable support for existing accounts and expansion opportunities. The ideal candidate has experience in bid preparation or construction-related fields, with strong product knowledge of waterworks materials

Qualifications

BS/BA in related discipline; 2–5 years of experience in related field; Certification is required in some areas.
DBIA and/or PMP certification is a plus.
5–8 years prior experience specific to bid preparation, sales or construction; strong product knowledge of waterworks materials.

Responsibilities

Review project requirements and quotes to ensure accurate materials and costs.
Ensure timely delivery of correct materials and supplies.
Coordinate collaboration with internal support teams and external vendors.
Provide regular status information to project stakeholders; report status to upper management.
Review plans and schedules for compliance with master schedule; resolve conflicts.
Lead or participate in weekly/monthly meetings; track open jobs and deviations.
Coordinate project support from inception through completion.
Identify barriers and apply problem solving to complex situations.
