Job summary

Clark Regional Wastewater District seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead wastewater treatment and transmission projects from concept to commissioning. You will guide major capital improvements, work with engineers, consultants, contractors, regulators and community stakeholders, and ensure project success within scope and budget.

The role requires a PE license or path to reciprocity, 7+ years in wastewater engineering, and 5+ years in project management, with PMP preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field.
  • Washington PE license or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 12 months.
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible engineering experience in wastewater infrastructure.
  • At least five years of project management experience in wastewater or civil construction.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex wastewater treatment and transmission projects from planning through construction and completion.
  • Manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, contracts, permitting, bidding, construction, commissioning and closeout.
  • Direct consultant teams, review engineering documents, resolve construction challenges, and support funding applications.

Job description

Clark Regional Wastewater District is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex wastewater treatment and transmission system projects from initial planning through construction and completion. This is an opportunity to guide major capital improvement and infrastructure projects while collaborating with engineers, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, property owners, and community stakeholders.

The successful candidate will manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, contracts, permitting, bidding, construction, commissioning, and closeout. Responsibilities also include directing consultant teams, reviewing engineering documents, resolving construction challenges, supporting funding applications, and communicating technical information to diverse audiences.

What Youll Bring:
  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field
  • Washington Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain one through reciprocity within 12 months
  • Seven years of progressively responsible engineering experience involving wastewater infrastructure
  • Five years of project management experience in wastewater or civil construction
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • PMP certification is preferred
Compensation and Benefits:

The monthly salary range is $10,502 to $13,730, with a starting range of $10,502 to $12,008, depending on qualifications.
