Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Senior Specialist, Value & Implementation Project Manager (VIPM) to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategy across therapeutic areas.

This role may be based in Rahway, NJ; Upper Gwynedd, PA; or Zurich, Switzerland, with hybrid work arrangements. The Senior Specialist will provide leadership on projects of moderate complexity, coordinate enterprise project plans, and collaborate with Medical Affairs, Outcomes Research, Market Access, Biostatistics, and others to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; concentration in a scientific or applied discipline preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management or a related role required; in a pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred.
• Advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MS, MBA, Ph.D., PharmD) preferred.
• Project management certification (PMP) and/or formal coursework/training in project management strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Value & Implementation projects of moderate complexity and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Develop and execute integrated project plans across multiple disciplines and phases of development.
• Build and maintain project plans and critical information in enterprise systems; communicate with stakeholders.
• Leverage relationships to improve team dynamics and remove obstacles to drive business results.
• Navigate corporate processes to enable decision-making and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Prepare for, facilitate, and document outcomes of team meetings with clear objectives.
• Participate in ongoing GPAM training and contribute to process improvements.
