We are currently partnering with a leading player in the renewable energy sector to identify a Senior Project Manager who will oversee the execution of large-scale solar and energy storage (BESS) projects from financial close through to commercial operation. Our client is a nationally recognized utility-scale developer known for delivering sustainable infrastructure that benefits communities across the U.S.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned project management professional to take on a key leadership role within a fast-growing and mission-driven organization.

About the Role

In this role, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple utility-scale renewable energy projects—ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are not only met but exceeded. Working cross-functionally with development, engineering, legal, finance, and construction teams, you will play a pivotal part in bringing high-impact solar and BESS projects to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from late-stage development through commercial operation
• Ensure highest safety standards across all phases of project management
• Collaborate closely with Development and Finance teams to support smooth project transitions
• Review and analyze EPC bids, track project schedules, deliverables, and cash flows
• Manage change orders, RFIs, and dispute resolution as needed
• Maintain communication with landowners, authorities, and utilities throughout construction
• Coordinate permitting, compliance, and contractual requirements across departments
• Support procurement timing for long-lead items and align with financial models
• Oversee performance of EPCs and Owner’s Engineers during project lifecycle
• Drive process improvement and adoption of project management tools
• Support final acceptance and O&M handoff processes

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or similar field
• PMP certification or equivalent training is a plus
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in utility-scale solar or energy storage construction
• Proven track record managing complex, high-value infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of interconnection processes and permitting for renewable energy
• Experience with BESS projects preferred
• Strong problem-solving, risk management, and cross-functional communication skills
• Familiarity with Procore, Salesforce, scheduling tools, and SharePoint
• Comfortable with 35% travel
