Job summary

HBK Engineering is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Underground Transmission team, based in Chicago or Philadelphia. You will lead design, construction, and constructability efforts for 69kV–345kV systems, manage risks, and oversee multiple projects with field teams and engineers.

Positions involve travel to project sites and coordination with area agencies. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Deltek, and SharePoint is required, with a focus on delivering on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
• 10+ years of relevant project management experience.
• 5+ years in underground transmission design (duct bank, manhole/vault, splice, cable analysis).
• PMP certification or PE license preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct teams of PMs, engineers, designers, and field personnel.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and cost estimates with senior management authority.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while monitoring financials.
• Negotiate revisions with sub-consultants and clients.
• Manage programs with comprehensive oversight across multiple projects.
