Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Surveyor/Project Manager to join our Surveying team in either our Toledo or Cincinnati offices!

Our survey professionals achieve highly accurate results while maintaining quality control over data collected, from field to office, and the precision of final client deliverables. We utilize conventional surveying methods, geospatial scanning techniques, or a combination of both, with professionally licensed land surveyors, highly-trained office technicians, and field crews working seamlessly to provide the most responsive and consistent survey services. Implementing the right approach for each project ensures our clients receive the most accurate surveying and measurement services.

Responsibilities
  1. Analyze and prepare complete boundary surveys by compiling record data and providing sound analysis and reasons for accurate property line location.
  2. Perform Quality Control reviews on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Assist staff in preparing reports, findings, plans, and other contract documents.
  4. Organize and coordinate the work of field and office staff required to complete design, field, and other tasks on complex projects.
  5. Assist in the preparation of project and task work plans.
  6. Provide direction to staff to meet project objectives.
  7. Monitor work efforts of staff, sub-consultants, and contractors.
  8. Supervise assignments given to Survey Technician(s).
Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree or technical experience preferred.
  2. 5+ years of related surveying experience required.
  3. PLS License in Ohio required.
  4. Proficiency in Civil 3D, TBC (Trimble Business Center).
  5. Knowledge of various data techniques and coding systems.
  6. Advanced knowledge of surveying instruments, techniques, and computations.
  7. Understanding of angular and linear measurement systems.
  8. Knowledge of trigonometry and geometry.
  9. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle; MVR will be checked.
  10. Ability to read, write, and understand English for communication.

Requires a pre-employment drug screen.
