Job Description Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives within a fast paced, highly regulated environment. In this role, you will be the primary contact for activities in Standard Plant Design as part of the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) project. The successful candidate will act as a central escalation point, drive project performance, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure alignment between internal teams and customer needs. This role requires strong leadership, a tactical mindset with strategic awareness, and a proven track record in project execution, customer engagement, and financial oversight.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for sourcing and operational roadblocks.
  • Lead the generation of Project Work Plans (PWP) and manage project schedules.
  • Oversee Change Requests (CRs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Design Input Requests (DIRs).
  • Organize and coordinate cross-functional teams and project activities.
  • Provide oversight, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
  • Conduct and present monthly project review reports to stakeholders.
  • Approve timecards, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Interface directly with customers, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.
  • Enable engineering teams and project leads to take on expanded responsibilities.
  • Own and manage project financials, including forecasting, customer invoicing, and budget adherence.
  • Monitor and drive performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation plans proactively.
  • Drive change management efforts and foster a high-performance team culture.
  • Manage subcontractors and support procurement/supply chain coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (equivalent experience/education will be considered).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Minimum 3 years managing medium to large scale projects.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel 25%–50%, both domestically and internationally, to GE Vernova and customer locations.
  • The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in the nuclear industry or working with GEH (GE Hitachi Energy).
  • PMP Certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Familiarity with supply chain operations and troubleshooting supply issues.
  • Experience as a culture driver within organizations.
  • Strong project management background with tactical execution and strategic insight.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer relationship management.
  • Solid understanding of commercial contracts and financial management.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and influencing capabilities.
  • Experience in risk management, change management, and team delegation.
  • Sound business acumen and ability to drive accountability across teams.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., energy, aerospace, medical devices).
  • Ability to manage and motivate cross-functional and subcontractor teams.
  • Experience with licensing, compliance, and quality assurance standards.

The base pay range for this position is $128K - $202K. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 5/28/25.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
