Job summary

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development seeks a Senior Project Manager for Small Homes Stabilization programs. You will oversee loans for 1-4 family homes, manage nonprofit partners, and coordinate with city and state agencies to deliver affordable housing projects.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and two years of related community work experience.
• High school diploma with six years of related experience; equivalent accepted.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts with non-profit partners and review loan packages for compliance.
• Assess feasibility of projects and loan terms; perform financial analyses.
• Model and review development budgets, pro formas, and affordability analyses.
• Draft and review legal documents.
• Oversee construction requisition processes.
• Review mortgage notes and regulations; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Engage in policy discussions and prepare materials for senior staff.
• Liaise with developers, financial institutions, HPD divisions and agencies to resolve issues.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
• Track and troubleshoot project progress across all stages.
• Assist with underwriting analyses and cross-unit work.
• Attend community meetings to explain programs and project details.
• Train and mentor new Project Managers/Assistant PMs.
