Job description

Senior Project Manager / Roadway Engineer

Join Burgess & Niple as a Senior Project Manager / Roadway Engineer in Tampa, FL. This role offers the opportunity to lead transportation engineering projects involving roadway design, complete streets, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities, working with FDOT and local agencies across Florida.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate transportation projects, including resurfacing, widening, interchange projects, safety studies, and design contracts for FDOT districts and local agencies.
  • Develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities in Florida.
  • Provide leadership within the Tampa office and collaborate with transportation teams across B&N Florida operations.
  • Participate in project pursuits, presentations, and management with FDOT and municipal agencies.
  • Recruit, develop, and oversee staff in the Tampa region.
  • Manage project delivery, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • PE license in Florida or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
  • 10+ years of municipal project management and client development experience.
  • Knowledge of MicroStation and Open Roads design software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
