Position: Project Manager - Alternative Delivery

Location: Austin, Texas

American Structurepoint has successfully completed more than 500 Alternative Delivery Projects and strives to deliver projects using innovative and alternative methods and techniques. Our professionals support the successful development and delivery of our client's alternative delivery programs and projects, including program management, procurement, operations, design and construction compliance, public outreach, and stakeholder coordination.

This person will be a key member of the firm's Alternative Delivery Support team, advising and consulting owners to facilitate successful delivery and development of projects. They will also help identify additional opportunities with existing and potential clients. This role requires building trust-based relationships and developing strategic growth plans. Domestic travel may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Represent our clients in providing Alternative Delivery Support Services, including strategic planning, project identification, procurement, contract development, project management, risk management, project controls, quality management, and construction management.
  • Serve as pricing and risk facilitator on progressive project delivery methods (CM/GC, PDB).
  • Interact with government and public officials on program matters requiring coordination.
  • Develop and provide training for clients and industry in Alternative Delivery.
  • Support and train Implementation teams in project controls, contract compliance, and change management.
  • Expand our Alternative Delivery Operations and grow the group.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to assist clients with Alternative Delivery Programs.
  • Define staffing needs and oversee Project Managers, staff, client staff, and partners.
  • Prepare and present to industry partners such as local contractor associations.
  • Track and resolve program and project issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 15 years in transportation engineering.
  • Broad technical knowledge of transportation construction and engineering nationally.
  • Design-Build management experience.
  • Professional Engineer license, with ability to get licensed in multiple states.
  • Experience or potential in sales, marketing, and building client relationships.
  • Proven leadership and excellent communication skills.
