Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a large, geographically dispersed team in program management, data, and reporting for ICE. This is a fully remote role with responsibilities spanning process establishment, stakeholder engagement, and timely delivery across multiple AORs.

The position emphasizes innovation, automation, and clear communication with HQ and customers, requiring extensive leadership and DHS/ICE familiarity. The contract is unfunded and contingent on award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or commensurate experience).
• 12+ years of experience in dynamic customer delivery environments (2 years may be removed for a masters degree).
• Direct experience in a Law enforcement specific environment.
• Experience working with ICE specific data and processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing processes and practices to streamline reporting and data needs across ICE Areas of Responsibility (AORs).
• Provide thought leadership on paths for innovation and automation for project team deliverables as well as field communication with HQ.
• Provide guidance to delivery team personnel executing on daily/weekly requirements and ad-hoc tasks.
• Lead customer engagement to discuss needs, issues, and challenges faced by the clients and pathways to resolution.
• Lead support to cross-discipline team members to ensure on-track project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
• Review project deliverables to ensure adherence to compliance and quality standards.
• Develop, gather and disseminate information and documentation among both business and technical customers in support of the overall program.
• Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.
• Analyze changes in requirements and recommend expedient solutions in a timely manner.
• Translate complex issues into a clear narrative with advanced writing skills.
• Create succinct visualizations and meeting agendas using PowerPoint.

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for Senior Project Manager to lead a large, geographically dispersed team in program management, data, and reporting activities at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This support will focus on advising team members and government stakeholders into the best processes and methodologies to execution on government taskings, data analytics, case management, strategic planning and varied other programmatic needs. This position will be a fully remote position.

The contract has not been awarded; this position remains unfunded and is contingent upon the award of the contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagement to discuss needs, issues, and challenges faced by the clients and pathways to resolution

• Lead support to cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.

• Review project deliverables, including artifacts to ensure adherence to team compliance and quality standards.

• Develop, gather and disseminate information and documentation among both business and technical customers in support of the overall program.

• Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.

• Work with all team members to analyze changes in requirements and recommend the most expedient solutions in a timely manner.

• Leverage advanced writing skills to translate complicated issues from multiple information sources into a clear point of view to create a compelling, concise, and well‑written narrative.

• Leverage excellent presentation development skills to prepare meeting agendas and synthesize complex information into succinct visualizations using tools such as PowerPoint.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or commensurate experience)

• 12+ years of experience work in dynamic customer delivery environments (2 years of experience may be removed for a masters degree)

• Direct experience in a Law enforcement specific environment

• Experience working with ICE specific data and processes

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Direct experience management a program team of more than 20 personnel in multiple on-site work locations

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Strong understanding in project management and data analysis.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Ability to lead in an extremely fast-paced environment.

• Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other team and external stakeholders.

• Be flexible to change direction on a moment’s notice while also tracking/executing tasks in progress.

• Ability to think "outside of the box" while communicating or dealing with a variety of situations.

• Possess clear understanding of the activities, roles, and responsibilities on large scale IT projects.

Clearance Required:

• Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance (US citizenship required)

Posted Salary Range

USD $170,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
