Overview

Halff is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation/Public Works team as a Senior Project Manager in Oklahoma City, OK. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in roadway/transportation project development, focusing on DOT projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement and professional development in project management and oversight.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Transportation Team Leader on transportation and public works projects.
  • Perform complex transportation engineering tasks and lead professional staff.
  • Develop and manage project scope, personnel, budgets, and schedules, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple transportation projects supporting business needs.
  • Oversee consultant teams and design staff, including Engineers, EITs, and technical personnel.
  • Review transportation deliverables for accuracy and consistency.
  • Report on project progress and budgets.
  • Participate in business development activities with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Managers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET-accredited equivalent.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oklahoma.
  • At least 10 years of roadway/transportation project delivery experience in Oklahoma.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed PE.
  • Experience with Bentley OpenRoads; AutoCAD Civil3D is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, technical teams, and manage schedules and budgets.
  • Experience managing roadway design projects and plan production.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to quality, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Experience with ODOT projects is desirable.
