Job summary

Kforce has a client in Los Angeles, CA seeking a Senior Project Manager (P&C) to drive projects forward using agile methodologies. You will track progress, collaborate with Engineering and Product teams, and may serve as Scrum Master, facilitating ceremonies and creating productivity reports.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the Insurance industry managing Property/Casualty IT projects.
• 8 years of Agile, Scrum, project management with a software development team.
• Proven track record coaching and transitioning teams, programs and portfolios at all levels.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Los Angeles, CA that is seeking a Senior Project Manager (P&C) who will play a pivotal role in driving projects forward using agile methodologies. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will track progress, work with Engineering and Product counterparts to manage timelines proactively and ensure effective resolution of issues. In addition, you may serve as the Scrum Master, facilitating various agile ceremonies, acting as a servant leader, and creating reports to showcase team productivity. Responsibilities:

• Lead project planning, resource allocation, and monitoring to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget, utilizing agile principles
• Motivate cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and deliverables, fostering a collaborative and agile working environment
• Accountable for delivering technical projects on time, within budget, and with successful outcomes according to business objectives
• Develop comprehensive project plans encompassing scope management, deliverables, milestones, resource management, finance, and quality management, in an agile context
• Manage multiple projects/scrum teams simultaneously, ensuring effective adherence to Agile practices
• Facilitate backlog grooming sessions with cross-functional teams to ensure clear priorities, understanding, and dependencies before sprint planning
• Appropriately engage all organizations to ensure effective adherence to completing PDLC governance

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working in the Insurance industry managing Property/Casualty Information Technology projects
• 8 years of Agile, Scrum, project management with a software development team that applied Scrum principles practices and theories
• Proven track record of leading agile maturity by successfully coaching and transitioning teams, programs and portfolios at all organizational levels, including senior leadership
• Proficiency with Jira Software, Jira Plans and Confluence
• Familiar with concepts of P&C systems

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
